Hawk 101
The sun shining bright
makes visible the shadow
of the hawk gliding overhead.
Cloudy skies move in,
still the hawk ‘s overhead.
Now he casts no shadow,
without making a sound
head-dives swiftly
to the ground.
Teresa Holland lives in Greenfield, Indiana. She is a Writer and Photographer
Poetry Society of Indiana will host seasonal contests through the year. Contests come with prizes for the top three poems in each category and those poems are published in our yearly anthology.
Fall - (Submissions will open around end of July. Deadline for entry will be August 20) September 20 award event
Winter - (Submissions will open around end of October. Deadline for entry will be November 20) December 20 award event
