25th Anniversary Celebration
During 2024, we celebrated 25 of our wonderful and talented artists and performers in Hancock County. The videos included artists such as 3D illustrator Chris Sickels, “The Snow Artist” Rick Horton and former top illustrator for Garfield, Mike Fentz. Performing groups were also included such as Hancock County Children’s Choir, Wilkerson Dance Company and the theatrical group “Kids Play”. Our culminating event was August 18, we rented the H.J. Ricks Centre For The Arts in Greenfield and showed the full video of these 25 artists plus a showing of Kevin Titzer’s “Sack Race with Knives”. Kevin Titzer, an Indiana sculpture artist, spoke about his installation and answered questions for the audience. This event was free and we promoted the event within our county and central Indiana. These events went directly toward fulfilling our mission of “Celebrating and Promoting the Arts in Hancock County.

My Story
For a Saturday event, we invited craft vendors to sell their wares and had a schedule of various local performers. This included a variety of musicians including a jazz ensemble from Greenfield Central High School, a local rock band, “Neural Static Band” and a local dance group “Hearts Ablaze”. We served cupcakes to celebrate this event and our 25 years. All this was free and open to the public to celebrate and promote Hancock County Arts, and to highlight our local arts and performers. We promoted the event on our social media and shared with many local Facebook groups to get the word out, plus create promotional signs and flyers.
