We love Hancock County, too.
Your support is vital to our mission and helps make a difference. Thank you to our members, the artists, our sponsors, mentors and community.
Please accept our gratitude for your continued support.
Support the Arts This #GivingTuesday. Hancock County Arts is dedicated to celebrating and promoting the arts in our community. Your gift helps cover essential operating costs - rent, utilities, supplies - and moves us closer to hiring staff so we can expand beyond our current 9 hours a week. Extra funds will also increase artists awards, attracting more talent and growing local arts awareness.
Give today (Click Here) and help us keep the arts thriving in Hancock County.

A "Pause for Words"

Cold Snap
Surrender is in the air,
oak leaves brown as leather
points sharp as the wind
that stabs them into the ground.
The tulip tree shivers off
its silhouettes of tulips,
symmetrical,
yellow as summer squash.
Leaves of sugar maple
all red hearts,
weather’s losing hand
slapped down in disgust,
winter breathing hard
down its neck.
