Out on a Limb

My cats and I share
a big love of bird watching:
sweet tweets of our hearts.

Indiana Summer

Dusty country road
moonlit drive past corn and cows:
breathe that Hoosier air.

September

The ninth month is cool,
warm days, sweet autumn arrives:
my favorite month.

2026 Indiana Authors Awards Nominations Now Open!

Tell them about your favorite local books! Since 2009, the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana Authors Awards have shone a spotlight on our state's best writing by uplifting Hoosier writers and amplifying their work. Offered biennially, the Awards make their return in 2026 and nominations are officially open! From fiction and poetry to children's books and drama, Awards will be given in up to nine genre categories, recognizing the breadth of talent in the Hoosier writing community. Nominations are also open for the Literary Champion and Lifetime Achievement Awards. Nominations will remain open until January 9, 2026. Anyone (authors, publishers, librarians, or readers) can make a nomination for eligible books by Indiana authors published in 2024 and 2025. Make a nomination here!
