Wood Burning Basics
Learn pyrography, the art of “drawing with fire” during this wood-burning workshop for beginners. Beth Darragh, from Woodcraft in Indianapolis, will conduct this workshop for people ages 14 and older.

About the Event
Bring an image of what you would like to burn. If you’re a beginner, basic line images work best. The image should fit inside a 7-inch circle of wood. (We’ll also have a few options on hand.)
During this workshop, learn to lay out your design; evaluate the importance of scale; practice with various tips, heat variations, and shading techniques; and create something beautiful.
These materials are provided:
Birch plywood, 3/8 x 12 x 12
Birch cookie, 7-in. diameter
Water soluble tracing paper
Image stencils
