Light and Dark. Solar eclipses have had major historical / mythological significance. In ancient Asian cultures, it was believed that an eclipse occurs when a dragon hovers around the sun to eat it.

About the Event

This will focus on art works of the eclipse and the sun, light and dark. This may include the effect of sunlight and shadows, or indoors light and shadows,  in works of art. 2D and 3D art can include paintings, and alternative media especially fiber artworks, sculpture and photography. 

Our Judge was Mary Ann Davis, she said it was difficult. 1st Place is Nancy Wolfe for her Mixed Media-So We Meet Again and 2nd Place is Gale Sturm for his stain glass work, Sun Eclipse. Two  3rd Places: Sherry Owens for her Phase Trivet and Amy O'Connell for her Fish Frenzy. Congratulations.
