Call For Entries 2026 Will Vawter Juried Art Exhibition and Sale

Yes, we are committed to making things easier for artists to submit.

It is now an online entry so that we can have our juror, Ray Hassard, from Cincinnati adjudicate

and announce the accepted entries in advance of the intake day.

Artists can then more easily prepare their work and plan their schedules.

We have added a shipping option for those who are further away and still want to enter.

As usual, there will be over $5000 in awards available. 

Exhibition Dates: June 13 - July 25, 2026

Entry Deadline: 11:59pm EDT, Monday, May 25

Submissions:

·       Entries accepted and juried through www.ShowSubmit.com

·       The exhibit will be selected from the artwork submitted at our judge's discretion.

·       Submit an artist statement / biography for the gallery’s “Artist Notebook”. Email PDF to hancockcountyarts@gmail.com

Notification of Acceptance/Non-inclusion: Friday, May 29

Delivery Date of Included Artwork: In-person, Saturday, June 6, 12-5pm; or shipped to FedEx Office Print & Ship Center, Greenfield, IN.

Entry Fees:

·       Non-Member: $45 per artist

·       Member of Hancock County Arts: $35 per artist

·       No more than two submission entries per artist will be accepted.

Eligibility: Open to artists 18yrs+ who currently reside in the state of Indiana

Artwork Requirements:

·       Two-dimensional works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, pastel, drawing media, fiber, and mixed media. No wet paintings are allowed. All subjects, themes, and aesthetics will be considered for this exhibition of juried works.

·       No photography, computer-generated imagery, or posthumous artwork. No sculpture.

·       Works must have been completed in the last three years and never exhibited in the Vawter exhibition. If a submitted work has been discovered to have been previously exhibited, it will be removed prior to judging. No refunds. No substitutes.

·       Entries must be of original work and not copied or created under the guidance of an instructor.
