It's Spring, you can see the flowers beginning to bloom, the grass beginning to grow and the birth of wonderful new life posing, just daring you to paint!!!

New Exhibit

In the Looking Glass

April 1 through April 29 will be an exhibit consisting of nothing but glass: stained glass, glass beads, glass and ceramics, painted glass and paintings of glass.

The gallery will be sparkling all month.

We will join the downtown merchants during our April 14th Second Friday Artist Reception. The RWTC will provide entertainment with a Broadway Musical Night.

Creative Nonfiction Group

4-week sessions discussing different aspects of creative nonfiction, pulling from memoir samples and books on craft.

It's an asynchronous Facebook group setting, so you'll have lots of flexibility. Join us from wherever you are! $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers

1st Saturday of each month, Apr 1, Wood Carvings, by Jim Webb, demonstration, stop in from 11 - 2 at our gallery.

2nd Saturday of each month, Apr 8, Crayon Coloring, by Diana Moore, demonstration, stop and join in from 11-2 at our gallery.

Everywhere there’s allergens listed; carbs accounted for—

a collection of things

Anything to feed this kid

with no needles attached.

June 3 - 3rd annual Plein Air, Hancock County Arts Shows off our County!!! 8 AM - 1 PM

Maps showing Activities, Parks, Historical Architect and Beautiful Scenery

$10.00 entry, Coffee/Pastries.

Artists are invited to join the Plein Air Paint Out on Saturday, June 3rd which coincides with the drop off of entries for the gallery exhibit.

June 3 - Will Vawter Juried Exhibit Intake - Noon till 3.

Our annual Will Vawter Art Competition attracts the best artists throughout Indiana. Artists are invited to join the Plein Air Paint Out on Saturday, June 3rd which coincides with the drop off of entries for the gallery exhibit.

The awards celebration will be held on Friday, June 9th in our Living Alley. And don’t miss the beautiful Will Vawter, on loan from David Spencer, painting which will be on display in the gallery. It’s always great to see these masterpieces offered to us by generous area art collectors.

Our juror this year is from Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields, Kjell Wangensteen.

July - Teachers in Art -

We are delighted to invite our Hancock County teachers to display their art in the gallery during the final three weeks of July. Their art display is always outstanding. We love to celebrate their creativity.

  1. Hey, Artists, be sure we have your website on our website. Send a bio, telling us your medium. We have visitors asking about commissions. We are posting some members artwork for sale, also. Send your information to

  2. We enjoyed Troop 236 on March 28 for a gallery tour. Thank you to Vernon Bedel, Leslie Newton, Diana Moore and Teresa Gooldy for being here to teach and explain their artwork to the Troop.

  3. Needed: Electric leaf blower to keep our front and back areas clear and welcoming!

  4. Needed: Light Bulbs to update our gallery to Day Light Bulbs.

  5. Needed: Laser Copy Paper

  6. Needed: Starting a Monthly Art Lecture/Chat series. Can you help?

  7. Needed: Crew of 3 to assemble shelving in the basement-may take an hour...
