If you have ever wanted to start painting but haven’t because you aren’t sure what paint to use or what brushes to use or you aren’t sure if you should use this canvas or that canvas…or maybe you just weren’t sure of all the “rules” of painting and were afraid you might go about it all wrong, then you don’t want to miss this workshop. In this 3 hour workshop, we will have open and engaged discussions around: • What is a painting? • Acrylic paint vs Oil paint vs Watercolor vs Pastels • The rules of painting with a little art history mixed in. • Painting surfaces: Canvas, paper, wood… • Some painting techniques and terminology • And we will have a fun, engaging painting exercise. At the end of this workshop, you will be ready to go get your materials and begin painting on your own terms.
